Why Doggy Daycare?
Why Doggy Daycare?
Honestly, Dog Daycare works.
Isn’t a Big Fenced Yard Enough Exercise?
Without proper outlets, dogs may dig, chew, or create their own ways to release frustration. While that behavior is normal for dogs, it does not fit well with our everyday rules.
Daycare solves this problem by giving dogs what they actually need: people, other dogs, structured play, and guidance. The result is real exercise, mental stimulation, and a happier, more balanced dog.
Meeting Your Dog’s Need for Exercise and Leadership
A Typical Day at the Ranch
-
06:00 AM to 07:30 AM Arrival and check in
Dogs start arriving as early as 06:00 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and 07:30 AM on Monday and Friday. Please notify us in advance if you need an early drop off.
-
07:30 AM Boarding dogs morning routine
Boarding dogs are let out to relieve themselves, then fed individually. After breakfast, they return to their sleeping quarters to digest and nap.
-
Upon arrival Daycare dogs enter the play yard
Daycare dogs head into the play yard as they arrive. Overly excited dogs who are not yet familiar with our regulars may spend a few minutes in the introduction yard to relieve themselves and sniff and greet through the fence.
-
Introductions and building comfort
This helps new dogs become familiar with the scents of the other dogs and our environment. Once they settle, we bring in the most appropriate playmate for a face to face meeting, then slowly add more dogs. Confident dogs may move to the large play yard with the regulars.
-
10:15 AM Pack play begins
Around 10:15 AM the boarding dogs join the daycare dogs and the real fun begins. We romp, run, wrestle, chase, and play follow the leader with plenty of supervised social time.
-
All day Play, breaks, and naps
We play throughout the day, taking breaks and naps as needed. This balance keeps dogs happy, safe, and comfortably tired.
-
04:15 PM Dinner and daycare pickup
We begin feeding boarding dogs around 4:15 PM, or earlier in winter due to daylight. Daycare guests start heading home as the afternoon winds down.
-
09:30 PM Final potty break and lights out
Boarding guests are let out again at 9:30 PM to relieve themselves, then head right back to sleep because they are happily worn out from the day.
